Résumé
"No more need for presta, I recode everything myself", "With AI, anyone can be CTO from now on, it's too easy!", "SaaS, it's dead" ...
You hear that a lot these days. So yes, AI is speeding up IT. Code assistants save an incredible amount of time. Prototyping has never been easier. But no, computing hasn't disappeared.
An IS isn't a constellation of tools cobbled together in a corner, with brilliant scripts that are incomprehensible 3 months later, dependencies on external libraries that aren't mastered, security flaws, API accesses open everywhere "because it works" or a repo of code that only the little genius knows how to maintain (until he leaves).
An IS needs to be thought out, supervised, secured and administered. And, above all, it's long-term. Whether the interfaces are SaaS, AI agents, browser extensions, desktop add-ins or mobile apps... it's still IT (even if it's sexier to say we're "doing AI"!)
And this IT must:
- listen to the business (really),
- accompany change,
- train teams,
- manage technical debt,
- control extra-territorial dependencies,
- avoid uncontrolled shadow IT,
- protect the organization when the heroic coder is no longer around.
AI doesn't remove the need for architects, ops, security, governance. It increases their responsibility. It's not "old school" to think of your IS as a whole.
Accelerating is great. Improvising sustainably means creating tomorrow's digital monsters.
That's exactly why Bodic relies on an ecosystem of experts Hones, Drivn, Callisto, Tech it Simple, Digidatawise, Nicola Clasadonte, TSN... who work with AI, but above all know how to structure SIs that stand the test of time.
